Aluminum Window Abstract

Aluminum Window Abstract

15"X15" bstract image of a freshly painted building on the upper East Side of Manhattan with aluminum clad windows and spray paint. It combines the hard edges of the windows, with a cast iron late 19th century column and an element of whimsy. It was made in the fall of 1973 when few people were working in color, because they believed it would fade. I did it anyway. I processed the film myself and put it thrugh formaldehyde as a last step. About four decades later, I scanned the film and removed any defects. It is printed on 22"X17" exhibition fiber with a professional Epson printer and K3 pigment inks. The print is will not fade for in excess of 100 years. Limited Edition of 50. Titled, Signed, and numbered under image. Museum matted to 30"X24". Mat cut by Archival Methods. Shipped in an AirFloat Systems PrintPad, which is reusable and makes a great way to store or move flat art.
