Museum Quality Materials, Methods, and Standards

Russ and Marcia take their art and craft seriously.Whether it be photographing in the natural environment, in the studio, or creating on the computer, they meet the most demanding standards. Their stunning work will be the focal point of any home, office, or business. You will be proud to hang their work and your friends, colleagues, and clients will immediately be impressed with your impeccable aesthetic choices.

Their work is truly museum-quality. They use the same archival materials and methods that are used to print and display work in the Museum of Modern Art, the Met, and the Whitney. All prints are made using a professional Epson printer with K3 pigment inks. Such printers and inks produce prints with exceptional longevity. There will not be noticable fading of color for in excess of 100 years. There will not be noticable fading of black and white for in excess of 300 years, even when hung in direct sunlight.

Matted prints are ready for framing. All large mats are custom cut for the size of the image by Archival Methods using 4 ply 100% rag museum board. Prints are hung in the mats with archival tape along the top edge, which allows for expansion. If a mat was ever damaged, a new one could be made and the work rematted.

All work is shipped with the care and respect it deserves. We truely have a connection to each image we create and want it to arrive in perfect condition. Unmatted prints are shipped in a sturdy tube in a clear envelope with glassine over the image. Then it is rolled loosely and put into the large diameter tube. Matted work, is shipped in an Airfloat Systems PrintPad, which is double walled cardboard lined with puncture proof plastic. That in turn is lined with padding material to gently hold the matted print, which in turn is sealed inside it's own plastic envelope. Together, these ensure the work can travel anywhere worldwide and arrive undamaged at it's destination. Airfloat Systems PrintPad is approved by all carriers for the shipping of art.
